Speed test results

Every driver gets one speed score from the same test. A higher score is faster, and twice the score means twice the speed.

The fastest device is first. Every bar uses the same scale, so you can compare any two.

These drivers were tested, but the test gave nothing that can be compared fairly with the others. Running the speed test again with the current app, on a cool device, usually gives a score.

How the score is worked out (details for developers)

The score has no unit. It comes from the two test scenes that load every graphics chip the same way on every device: oit_linked_lists at 1920 by 1080 and hdr at 3840 by 2160. Each scene's frames per second is divided by a fixed reference (40 and 28), the two are combined with a geometric mean, and the result is multiplied by 1000. A scene is left out when its rounds were more than 15 percent apart, when the device held it at a fixed frame rate (paced), or when it came from an older version of the test.

A full score has repeated within 3 percent from run to run. An estimate comes from one of the two scenes, or from a test whose rounds were not steady. It is rough: one scene alone has been up to 87 percent away from a full score. So an estimate never orders the devices. A score marked "unverified" came from a device this site could not confirm, and never sets the order either. This is a driver test, not a full benchmark: a warm device or a power-saving mode lowers the score.
