About
FauxVkDB is a free, public collection of graphics driver test results for Android phones and handhelds. It shows which games a device could run, and how a community-built driver compares with the one the device came with.
It is made by Paul Reioux (faux123). There are no ads and no accounts.
The results come from the free FauxVkTest app. You run a check on your own device, look at the result, and choose whether to send it here. The app sends nothing until you press Upload.
Anyone can send a result, so the rest of this page explains how much each one can be trusted.
Trust tiers
Reference From a device the site owner controls and registered by hand. The upload is signed with that device's attested key, or with a secret the owner installed on it when its hardware cannot attest. The only tier treated as ground truth.
Attested, locked device Valid hardware attestation, official app, verified boot state. Tampering needs an exploit, so this is strong evidence.
Attested, modified device Valid attestation and official app, but the bootloader is unlocked or the system is modified. It shows a real device ran the official app, and no more. It counts only through corroboration.
No hardware proof (handheld) A device with no hardware proof to give. Makers of gaming handhelds often set none up, and handhelds are most of the devices people test, so these reports are counted. This applies to handheld makers only (AYN, Retroid, Anbernic, GameForce so far), and only until a device of that model sends a hardware proof. Counted and shown, never enough to confirm a result.
Unverified No hardware proof from a model that can give one, a proof made in software, an unofficial build, or a blocked device. Stored and shown. A driver's page uses these results, marked, only while it has no counted result at all.
What "confirmed" means
A result for a GPU and driver version is confirmed only when a reference device reports it, or at least 3 attested installs agree, from different networks, with first uploads on different days. A result that has support but not enough of it is leading, not confirmed. A result with attested installs that disagree is disputed. One report never decides a headline.
Limits
- Attestation does not prove a report is untouched. On a rooted device a person can change results before the genuine key signs them.
- An ordinary app cannot prove which physical device it runs on. Clearing app data can make one person look like several installs. The network and day rules raise the cost of that. They do not remove it.
- Benchmark numbers compare drivers on one device at one resolution. They do not compare devices.

Support this project
FauxVkTest and this site are free, with no ads, and uploading is free. They are made and run by one person. If they are useful to you, a tip helps cover the hosting and the time that goes into them.
